Each time we meet, we discuss the passages detailed in that week's worship service. We break it down into a highly conversational study to explore ways that the scripture applies to our daily lives. These thought-provoking messages keep our discussion each week lively and heartfelt. Join us as we dig deeper and take part in this guided discussion about life and how the Bible is more than relevant in today's world.

We’ll be moving through the biblical narrative chronologically, from the Garden of Eden to the construction of Solomon’s temple to John’s visions about the realization of a new creation. Each session begins with selections from biblical texts that we believe will best set the stage for our time together, but we’ll also point diligent readers to other passages for deeper context. Each session follows a consistent structure. We start with a lesson that captures the essential ideas of the session. Then, we move on to “Geek Out,” where we dig into the nerdy weeds of one or two concepts. Next up is “Dig Deeper,” where each person will be invited to examine relevant biblical stories like a true scholar—but with a little guidance. We’ll wrap up with a handful of discussion questions. Come and journey through the Scriptures and we dig in and grow our faith together.

Not really a college group; not really a career group; not really a singles group--this is just a place to connect, fellowship, and do life with others who are at the same place in life as you. If you are between the age of 20 and 30, we meet Sunday nights for fellowship, laughter, and to study God's Word through topically based video studies and discussion.

Who is Jesus? Why did He come to earth? How can I know Him? We live in a world where there's a lot of confusion about Jesus. Too often people want to shape Him and His message to fit their personal needs or agendas. So how can we know the truth? This study will deepen your understanding of Jesus through biblical, historical, and cultural insight and help you see Him less as an iconic figure and more as an intimate friend.

summer 2021 Core Groups

  • Led by Pastor Hank Hankerson

Sundays at 9:30am on the Fall Creek campus

    Start Date: May 2

    Open to men and women

Biblical Parenting and Biblical Sexuality. The biblical role of a parent is to be a good steward of the children God has placed into their care. Parents have the responsibility to care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of their children. The most important biblical duty of a parent is to teach their children abut Jesus in action and word. Human sexuality, including all its physical, emotional, and spiritual intricacies, was God’s invention. He gave sexuality to His human creations as a gift with two functions: to perpetuate the human race and to create an intimate bond between husband and wife. The right use of sexuality leads us to understand intimacy with God in greater ways; the wrong use of it destroys intimacy with God and substitutes sexuality in His place.

Sundays at 11:00am on the Fall Creek campus

    Start Date: May 2

    Open to men and women

We all know that Christians should be reading the Bible, but few things seem more challenging. We may start out with good intentions, but a few pages in and we find ourselves discouraged, confused, and ready to give up. It's true that the Bible is a big book with lots of weird names and strange sounding places. It's also true that the Bible is a complex literary work with lots of different genres. This Core Group is meant to train you how to "play by the rules" so you make sense of what the Bible is saying and how to apply its timeless message to your life.

I am a Christian. But I struggle with sin. I believe in Jesus, but I'm not quite sure what to do next. How does knowing Christ change my life now? How do I grow as a Christian and put an end to sinful tendencies or habits? How do I live in a way that actually pleases the Lord? How do I live the Christian life? If these questions resonate with you and you are looking for a way to live a life of godliness, then this class is for you. A notebook will be supplied and each week handouts will be provided.
