What we believe

God

There is one God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; who exists in unity as One and also as three distinct Persons.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God's Son. He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of human beings, was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven and will literally return to earth.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul.

Bible

The Bible is God's Holy Word. It is literally God-breathed and wholly truthful without any mixture of error, and is the sole authority for faith and life.

Humanity

Human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation from the penalty of sin.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift rom God that is received by grace through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell.

Baptism

Baptism is by immersion after salvation in obedience to Jesus Christ's command as a declaration of our faith and new life in Him.

Church

The church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head, united in the mission to tell everyone in the world the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • scott stayton // associate pastor of youth & families

Pastor Scott has served at Fall Creek since 2005. “God’s ways are definitely higher than my ways!” says this 20-year veteran of student ministry whose diversified career has included stints as an award-winning television sportscaster and a communication specialist and speechwriter with the Kentucky House of Representatives. Though his experience spans an array of professions, it was always student ministry that had his heart. “I can’t remember a time that I didn’t work in student ministry in some way, whether it was as a volunteer, in sports leagues, or as a volunteer youth director during my time in broadcasting and politics—student ministry is where my heart always was!” After graduating from Liberty University, Scott spent years working as a sports reporter, anchor and director while volunteering as youth leader at his church. After God called him back to his father’s home church and into full-time ministry, Scott served 12 years at Bible Baptist in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, where he also directed camps and spoke across the country at youth events. Scott has served at Fall Creek for the past 11 years where he leads X-Stream Student Ministries. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Lisa, for 25 years and has the joy of being Daddy to his five incredible children.

  • APRIL REYNOLDS // Director, Children's Ministry AND WEECare Preschool & Kindergarten

April and her husband John, with their three young daughters, have been members of Fall Creek since 2006. Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula (above the bridge), April is a 1998 Journalism graduate of Indiana University and enjoyed working in book publishing for over 15 years, starting her own firm to support local authors, independent bookstores, and to advocate childhood literacy programs. April has spent the last thirteen years devoted to Fall Creek’s weekday preschool ministry, WEECare Preschool & Kindergarten, where she is now Director, as well as Fall Creek's Children's Ministry; and has loved every minute of it. In her free time, April enjoys reading, writing, crocheting and hiking. Women’s Bible studies and Marriage ministries are a passion of hers. In juggling many roles, she can definitely say that “Wife” and “Mommy” are the sweetest.

  • BECKY COLLINS  //  OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Becky and her husband Paul, along with their three children, have been members of Fall Creek since 2002. She and Paul are originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and were high school sweethearts. Paul's 20-year career in the Navy took them to many duty stations--their favorite being Yokosuka, Japan. Their final move was to Indianapolis, and here they have stayed. After a 16-year career working with special needs children in public schools, Becky joined the administrative staff at Fall Creek in August 2016. Becky enjoys taking long walks and playing with her grandchildren, and she enjoys serving in AWANA, children's ministry, nursery, and women's ministry. But her greatest joy--second only to her own saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior--is that her children walk in that same knowledge (3 John 4).
