48 members of Fall Creek Church joined forces with Casas Por Cristo to build two homes in the summer of 2014. Through Casas direct connection with local churches, two families were blessed with a roof over their heads, an instant economic upgrade, and they heard about the life-changing impact that a relationship with Jesus Christ can have on their lives.

Identifying the problem.

During our trip we saw a glaring need among the children who came out to meet us or to play soccer with us as we built homes. We quickly realized that many children only owned one pair of shoes, or none at all. Because most families could only afford one pair per child, if they did have shoes, they were dress shoes that were purchased to wear with school uniforms.

Meeting the need.

This year a team of 66 will return to Guatemala to build three homes for families in the San Raimundo area. In addition to building homes we want to see children provided with shoes. This year we are prayerfully working to collect over 1,000 pairs of new or gently used shoes to distribute in a local school in Guatemala.

You can help!

We're currently collecting shoes through our church, our neighborhoods, and even some local businesses. We'll ship all collected shoes ahead of us to Guatemala and our team will have the privilege of distributing them directly to smiling children at the end of our week of home building.

Our shoe collection has come to and end and we are thankful and excited to say that our church family, local schools, and amazing community partnered with us to meet and exceed our 1,000 pairs of shoes goal!

1,200 pairs of shoes have been sorted, cleaned, and shipped to Guatemala where they will wait to be distributed by our team of 66 volunteers in June.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED
